Morgan Hunt were facing onboarding and compliance challenges around manual data entry and reporting and tracking, meaning a lot of their consultants’ time was wasted on administrative tasks. We spoke to Sam Porter, IT Director at Morgan Hunt, to see how they are getting on almost a year after choosing 3B.

How has the 3B Onboarding module improved your hiring process?
Prior to implementing 3B, we had registration forms which did not feed or update the data onto the contact records which required a constant review by consultants to review and update the records once completed. 

In addition to this, we had a manual process for gathering compliance and vetting evidence. This led to frustrations both externally and internally on the delays processing information and also led to inconsistencies in criteria being met if a consultant had not requested the correct information on the original manual email request. 

With 3B, we now gather these via an online form which is pre-set to gather all of the correct requirements for the sector that the candidate is applying to work within.  

How well does 3B Onboarding integrate with your existing systems like Bullhorn and MyWage?
Based on the Salesforce platform, all platforms integrate seamlessly. This allows our teams to report consistently and for us to also ensure we’ve got transparency of data and process across all areas of our business.

3B Onboarding connects with external vendors for Right to Work and DBS checks. How has this improved compliance and candidate onboarding?
Previously, verifying a candidate’s Right to Work status was a manual and time-consuming task that required emails, document uploads, and consultant oversight. Through 3B, we are able to request Yoti Right To Work checks at a click of a button, which is vital for a smooth process for onboarding our prospective workers. This ensures that every check is completed correctly and in line with legal requirements, helping us stay fully compliant while providing a smoother experience for candidates.

How has the 3B compliance rule engine helped streamline regulatory checks?
Previously, we had poor manual reporting on our compliance and vetting status’. Working with the 3B components, we’re now able to track live vetting status’ and information to ensure we’re staying on top of all regulations and are able to report instantly on regulatory audits and checks. 

What impact has 3B’s automations had on efficiency?
We’ve dramatically reduced the requirement for consultants to spend hours per week manually gathering compliance evidence and uploading it into different platforms. With the 3B automated forms and processes there has been a saving of almost 50% of consultants’ time spent on onboarding/vetting candidates. As a result this allows our sales teams to focus more time on fee-earning activities. 

Additionally, 3B’s capability with e-signatures and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) has improved our onboarding process. Candidates can now sign contracts digitally, reducing turnaround times and ensuring compliance without the hassle of chasing paperwork.

You’ve been trained to manage and build upon your processes. How has this level of control benefited your team?
Since go-live, we’ve been able to accelerate our process efficiencies due to the ease of configuration and implementation of new elements within the 3B platform. The 3B team implemented an efficient base product, and set a process for us to continue to expand and build across, allowing us to easily implement process efficiencies quickly once identified and scoped. 

How useful has 3B’s reporting tool been for tracking and improving your recruitment operations?
Our compliance team now has live reporting for vetting status’ and are able to work proactively across all of our compliance requirements for workers. Alongside this, we’ve also implemented a structured alerting platform that starts the process of obtaining updated vetting information without the risk of items becoming overdue or noticed only following an audit or review. 

The impact of these improvements has been clear. By reducing manual admin through automating processes, we’ve not only improved efficiency but also seen cost savings.
